Etobicoke defeated the Mississauga Chiefs earlier today in a shoot-out to win the Gold Medal at the Mississauga Chiefs Christmas Classic Tournament.

Etobicoke opened the game very strong with a number of very solid chances early on. However, Mississauga opened the scoring in the first period on a power play at 10:42 on a goal by Monica Masucci.

The Mississauga Tournament schedule has been released.

Etobicoke opens the tournament against the Mississauga Chiefs on Dec 27 at 10:15am at the Iceland Arena. Later that same day, Etobicoke will be playing Barrie at 5:15 again at Iceland.

On the 28th, Etobicoke will first play Victory Honda at 10:45am and then, depending on the standings, will play later in the day sometime between 5 pm and 7 pm.

The schedule for the upcoming tournament in Detroit has been released.

On Thursday afternoon, the team will be practicing in Windsor at 3pm at the Windsor Arena right downtown.

The tournament opens on Friday at 10am against Anaheim. Other opponents on Friday and Saturday are Team Illinois, Belle Tire, and Honeybaked.

The semi-finals go early on Sunday morning at 7:30am.
